The EC Diploma
Experts at the Institute for the Future (IFTF) Workshop predict that 85% of the jobs in 2030 have yet to be invented. The World Economic Forum has also highlighted the importance of 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, cognitive flexibility, and emotional intelligence for success in future occupations. At The English College, we have taken these insights to heart and developed a bespoke award, the ‘EC Diploma,’ that integrates these essential skills into our curriculum.
Our goal is to equip our students with a ‘future-proofed’ education that sets them apart in The World’s competitive landscape. The EC Diploma focuses on 16 domains that foster knowledge and skills, including leadership, bilingualism, public speaking, and charitable enterprise. The EC Diploma comprises three levels: EC Certificate, EC Diploma, and EC Diploma with Honours, which are awarded during the Year 13 Graduation. As members of the English College Sixth Form, participation in the EC Diploma program is a non-negotiable requirement, ensuring that our students receive a comprehensive education that prepares them for the future.
