Working With Us

We are one of the very few true heritage schools in the United Arab Emirates, having been founded in 1992. End of 2017, part of the secondary building was demolished to make room for our new, state-of-the-art building, which opened in August 2020 to accommodate the needs of today’s modern learners.

We are dedicated to the growth and professional development of a highly experienced, skilled and qualified team of teachers and support staff. By joining us you will become part of a closely knitted, happy and motivated community who live and breathe the school’s mission, vision and core values. Most of our team are coming from abroad – predominantly the UK - and have settled in Dubai for a number of years. Dubai and the United Arab Emirates have a lot to offer with plenty of activities, events, concerts, shopping, social gatherings, the outdoors with endless beaches, Wadis to hike in and more.

We have grown into a happy school with nearly 1,100 students from more than  70 different nationalities and are committed to the safeguarding and promoting the welfare of our students. HR Manager 

To lead the HR function across the school, with responsibility for setting the agenda in partnership with the Principal and WSLT.

● To be responsible for the full HR function across the whole school.
● To develop, implement and review HR policies and procedures.
● To ensure an effective recruitment, selection and induction process of staff.
● To ensure that the school is legally compliant in its HR processes including the safe recruitment of staff.
● To ensure that the school’s safeguarding obligations are met in relation to employment practices.

Position Requirements

Education:

● Higher education (degree, diploma or equivalent) in HR or business related subject
● CIPD Level 5 qualified

Experience:

● Proven experience in a general HR role at this, or a similar level.
● Excellent and up-to-date knowledge of labour law and the ability to apply it practically to workplace situations.
● Experience of working in an educational establishment.

Competencies:

● An exceptional communicator, in writing, one-to-one situations or in presentations to larger audiences.
● A proven track record of meeting deadlines and delivering results through effective management, organisation and planning of work.
● Ability to see the bigger picture and understand the school vision and how it relates to areas of the school.
● Ability to interpret guidance and legislation to ensure school policy and procedures are compliant.
● A high level of IT literacy.
● Ability to think and plan strategically and creatively.
● Be adept at having oversight of multiple projects at any one time.
● Be an experienced and proven leader who can build, inspire and motivate a team.
● Be able to build effective relationships with colleagues on all levels. The ability to put people at ease, reassure, guide and explain.
● High level of emotional intelligence and empathy.
● Be a good team player.
● Be a flexible, proactive problem-solver with an analytical mind and a creative approach to challenges.
● Culturally agile and adaptable.
● Understanding the complex and demanding environment of a school community

Temporary School Receptionist 

(4 months to cover a maternity leave starting mid-October)

Duties include

  • Greeting parents, students and visitors in various forms, with the utmost professionalism.
  • Providing excellent customer service to the whole school community.
  • Direct and respond to a wide range of enquiries from internal and external customers, providing accurate and up to date information.
  • Attendance administration including tracking and recording of absences and punctuality.
  • Providing administrative support to the Secondary Leadership Team.
  • Maintaining accurate and comprehensive school records.


Required Skills 

  • Experience in a school based environment
  • Excellent customer service 
  • Good standard of education including English and Mathematics
  • Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal
  • IT proficient including Microsoft Word, Excel and iSAMS
  • Proactive and approachable


Competitive salary, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
